Does the program involve medication?
No. We do have resources to help your patients find low-cost or no-cost pharmacotherapy when and where it is available.
Who pays for the program?
There is no cost to patients or providers. This program is funded by the Ministry of Health and Longterm Care through a project awarded to Dr. Patricia Smith, Northern Ontario School of Medicine and administered through Lakehead University.
Does the program involve training?
Yes. Training optimally involves one-full day. We provide the training at no cost to the clinic.
Who provides the smoking cessation materials?
We do at no cost to clinics or patients.
Does anyone help us set up the program?
Yes. We do at no cost to the clinic.
Will we receive reports on patients/clients enrolled in the smoking cessation program?
If your clinic uses the web-based intervention, we will be able to evaluate the program in your clinic and provide reports at no cost to the clinic.
